The Cassetti Family
A story of a family of luxury entrepreneurs, artisans and artists
The company was founded in 1926 by the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of Renzo Cassetti, heir to the tradition of Florentine master goldsmiths and silversmiths, in a small workshop on the Costa dei Magnoli in Florence. Its production specializes in hand-worked and chiseled silverware, creating fashion objects for the shops of Ponte Vecchio. The success achieved in the 1950s allowed him to increase production and grow, starting a transformation process that led the small factory to become, in the 1980s, one of the first Italian industries in its field.
In 1976 the first shop dedicated to the public opens on Ponte Vecchio, at number 54r, and in a few years another three stores specialized in elite jewelery. “We were also the first to present the most exclusive timepieces alongside precious stones” - says Cassetti. In fact, in 2008 the important evolution with the inclusion in their windows of Ponte Vecchio of the most prestigious brands in the world of high Swiss watchmaking: Rolex, Tudor, Vacheron Constantin, Cartier, Iwc, Jaeger le Coultre, Chopard who today wish to be in this location, unique in the world.
The philosophy
Proudly faithful to the original decree proclaimed by Grand Duke Ferdinand I in 1595, who wanted the goldsmiths on Ponte Vecchio, Cassetti has always tried to honor the uniqueness and beauty of its location with products of high artistic and manufacturing value.
To date, the company is constantly growing and evolving, with its third generation holding firmly to Renzo's teachings: professionalism, courtesy and constant attention to the customer and his wishes.
Being able to obtain a result like the one we have today was not easy, but the success that accompanies our brand in the world is the reward of our effort.
For one of those extraordinary combinations that happen only rarely, we have discovered the secret to having together the marvelous uniqueness of the hand-worked object and the sure perfection of the object born from an industrial-type technique.
